There will be optional networking sessions to meet others, relaxation time in nature and dynamic group work for testing new ideas. Our professional live illustrator will capture your journey sending you away with a personalised vision board mapping your journey beyond the residency.

The retreat will be led by Anna-Helena McLean, Founder of ACT INTERNATIONAL, and Annemette Verspeak. They are international pioneers of practice, research, teamwork, and facilitation, dedicated to empowering participants on their journey to self-leadership and personal transformation. Beatrice Baumgartner-Cohen is the live illustrator in residence, Erin Nicole Washington a core associate to the director and Tania Camara will be company manager during the retreat and producing assistant. The centre is directed by Antonella Tarditi.

4. How many participants will be attending the retreat?

We are offering limited early bird spots for this exclusive program and a maximum of 9 attendees in total. The number of participants will be kept small to ensure an intimate and focused learning environment conducive to personal growth and development.

5. What is included in the program fee?

The course fee includes access to all sessions, homemade, organic catering to all diets and table service during the retreat. The fees also include any necessary materials or resources for the program including a vision board illustrated by our residency professional. The accommodation in luxury en-suite apartments at Centro Anidra comes at single and shared rates (shared rates inclusive in the marketed fee). There is also access to log cabin accommodation at a reduced rate of stay (please enquire for details). Each participant will receive a wellness and care package on arrival. 

6. Is there any financial assistance or scholarships available for the program?

We do not currently offer financial assistance or scholarships for the program. However, we do offer early bird discounts for those who register in full, early. Approaches from businesses looking to develop their strategies for groups are also welcomed.

Anna-Helena McLean

ACT International Artistic Director and co-facilitator

A voice coach, theatre director and actor-musician, Anna is currently completing her PhD at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Her expertise stretches a decade of working across the conservatoire including freelancing in the arts and the corporate world (Sonata Software, DeMartini, Mindapples, WOW talks).

A BA in Music and Drama (solo cello) from RHUL, and 7 years touring as principal in the Polish Laboratory, her original ACT practice circulates world-leading arts institutions (NSD Delhi, DePaul Chicago, RCS Glasgow, GSMD London).

Anna’s work, including directing 12 productions, has made a significant contribution and felt impact through producing and educational partnerships including MacArthur Foundation, British Council, Arts Council England, Britten Pears Arts, Alef Trust and Tract and Touch.

Guest and co-facilitator

​​Annemette is head of voice at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She holds a BA in Linguistics and Communication, an MA in Voice Studies, two further singing qualifications from Scandinavia and an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Leadership, Life and Business Coaching.

She has taught voice and singing at several schools including Birmingham School of Acting, Drama Centre, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Thopps Kleinkunst school in Amsterdam.

​​Annemette is head of voice at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She holds a BA in Linguistics and Communication, an MA in Voice Studies, two further singing qualifications from Scandinavia and an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Leadership, Life and Business Coaching.

Anna-Helena McLean

ACT International Artistic Director and co-facilitator

A voice coach, theatre director and actor-musician, Anna is currently completing her PhD at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Her expertise stretches a decade of working across the conservatoire including freelancing in the arts and the corporate world (Sonata Software, DeMartini, Mindapples, WOW talks).

A BA in Music and Drama (solo cello) from RHUL, and 7 years touring as principal in the Polish Laboratory, her original ACT practice circulates world-leading arts institutions (NSD Delhi, DePaul Chicago, RCS Glasgow, GSMD London).

Anna’s work, including directing 12 productions, has made a significant contribution and felt impact through producing and educational partnerships including MacArthur Foundation, British Council, Arts Council England, Britten Pears Arts, Alef Trust and Tract and Touch.

Annemette Verspeak

Guest and co-facilitator

​​Annemette is head of voice at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She holds a BA in Linguistics and Communication, an MA in Voice Studies, two further singing qualifications from Scandinavia and an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Leadership, Life and Business Coaching.

She has taught voice and singing at several schools including Birmingham School of Acting, Drama Centre, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Thopps Kleinkunst school in Amsterdam.
